National Softball League
Co-Ed Slowpitch League
Season started 01/01/2021
The top tier of slowpitch softball in Britain is the National Softball League (NSL). Introduced in 2009 with 15 independent tournament teams from across the country, the NSL was originally played over a number of tournaments across the season. Now, in 2017, 12 teams will compete in set league fixtures over three weekends, with the top eight teams advancing to the BSF Premier National Championship, with the winner progressing to European competition the following year.
Following the success of the NSL a second tier (NSL2) was established in 2016 (click here
). NSL3 was established with a single event in 2018.
Slowpitch softball began to grow in the UK in the 1980s and has now become a thriving summer sport played in cities all around the country. The NSL represents the pinnacle of British competitive slowpitch play.
