Great Britain Fastpitch League

Co-Ed Fastpitch League
Season started 01/01/2017

The Great Britain Fastpitch League, which has been around in one form or another since the 1980s, will return in 2019 with Women’s and Men’s Divisions, each consisting of four teams.

Although the GBFL is an adult league, many young players from the age of 14 upwards take part.

The GBFL is fun, friendly, fast-paced and welcoming, and though you probably need to have played softball before to take part, you don’t have to have played fastpitch.  The differences with slowpitch are less than you might think, and players who have previously only played slowpitch will get plenty of help and coaching along the way.

In 2019 each division will play on eight days across the season – five of them between late April and early June and the remainder in September and October.  Most GBFL days in 2019 will be played at Farnham Park, but some days may be played in Milton Keynes.

The probable dates and venues are:

Saturday 27 April                                                                Farnham Park

Saturday 4 May                                                                    Farnham Park

Saturday 11 May                                                                 Farnham Park

Saturday 25 May                                                                 Farnham Park

Saturday 1 June                                                                   Farnham Park

Saturday 14 September (Men’s Division only)             Milton Keynes

Sunday 15 September (Women’s Division only)          Milton Keynes

Saturday 21 September (Men’s Division only)             Milton Keynes

Sunday 22 September (Women’s Division only)          Milton Keynes

Saturday 12 October                                                    Farnham Park

These dates are set so that GBFL days don’t conflict with any major slowpitch tournaments or with baseball league games, and that’s why there are a number of slowpitch and baseball players in the GBFL!

Individual players can register for the 2019 season here, both before and during the season:  If you’re a new player not rostered to one of the existing GBFL teams, we’ll assign you to a suitable team.

And if you’d like to enter a whole new team in the league, you’ll be welcome to do that too, and the league will provide all the support you need.  Contact us on:
