Manchester Softball League

Co-Ed Slowpitch League
Season started 01/01/2017

The Manchester Softball League (MSL), formed in 1995, has grown steadily over its 16-year history, and now provides co-ed slowpitch softball for around 400 men and women aged from 14 to 60. In 2010, we had 26 teams playing in three divisions. Games are played on Tuesday nights at Parrs Wood School, and on Wednesdays at the University Sports Ground in Wyhtnshawe.

At Parrs Wood we are developping a dedicated softball facility, currently a dirt infield with backstop and outfield fences, and hopefully in future dugouts, floodlights, spectator facilities and so on.

Voted the BSUK League of the year for 2009, MSL is one of the best organised leagues in the country. Within each division, games are played on the same night at the same venue, and players meet up in a nearby Clubhouse afterwards, where they can get cheap food and drink, get their copy of the weekly "Bases Loaded" MSL Review, plan trips all over the country for tournaments at the weekend, and generally make the most of the great social atmosphere that surrounds softball.
