Publishers' Softball League (London)

Co-Ed Slowpitch League
Season started 01/01/2017

The Publishers’ Softball League is one of the oldest continuously running slowpitch leagues in England, and in 2015, the league celebrated its 30th anniversary.

The Publishers’ League is open to any team with a publishing link, and we have had newspapers, magazines, comics, bookshops, literary agents, book charities, music publishers, on-line publishers and book publishers in our league overtime.  The league is not just for companies and individuals with a link to the industry are welcome to form and enter a team.

The PSL caters to all levels of play, from 20-year softball veterans to absolute rookies, but the emphasis is on recreational play.  We follow ASA rules, with a few exceptions, such as unrestricted substitutions and outfield depths.

Membership has been as high as 30 teams but currently stands around 10.  A typical schedule is 12 matches, played from early May to late August.  Matches are generally played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on Primrose Hill.
